It's August and even though the hot weather assures us it's still summer, this last stretch of the season can be a source of stress! Wondering if we have everything ready for transitions ahead this fall and wishing we had done more on our summer bucket list.

Dr. Nicole Schmidt is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Nebraska. She received her bachelor's degree from Creighton University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Wichita State University. Dr. Schmidt has experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient and residential mental health, community mental health, university counseling, and Veterans Administration.

She is passionate about working with trauma survivors, and individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and general adjustment. She also enjoys couples therapy, as well as psychological testing.

Dr. Schmidt has been trained in the following evidence-based therapies:
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, chronic pain, and insomnia

Her approach is best described as empathic and supportive, while using evidence-based treatment to help clients not just survive the difficulties of everyday life, but to thrive.
