God has brought together a powerful group of women at Chayah…

Meet Alicia...

Alicia Rodriguez serves as the President of Chayah Ministries, leading with bold faith, authenticity, and a deep passion for helping women experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ. As a mother of three and an entrepreneur, Alicia pours her heart into empowering women to believe that redemption is possible—because she has lived it herself.

Before encountering Christ in 2019, Alicia’s life was marked by addiction, crime, alcoholism, and incarceration. Through a life-changing encounter with Jesus, everything shifted. Today, she walks confidently in the freedom she found in Him, living as a powerful testimony that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.

Alicia is also the founder of Rooted in Love, a Christian streetwear brand that reflects her desire to spread messages of faith, hope, and restoration. Additionally, Alicia has worked in the non-profit space for 6 years. Her leadership at Chayah is grounded in Scripture and guided by a commitment to serve with excellence. Believing that “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few,” she is devoted to proclaiming the Gospel and encouraging women to step boldly into the identity and purpose God has for them.

Outside of ministry, Alicia loves time with her children, studying God’s Word, and creating spaces where others can encounter the love and freedom she has found in Christ.

Holy Week...

Yesterday was Good Friday.
Today is Holy Saturday,
the day in between.

Saturday was not yet a celebration.
It was a space filled with silence, uncertainty, and questions.

Jesus’ body lay in the tomb.
The stone was sealed.

Before there is resurrection, there is always crucifixion.

This pattern echoes throughout Scripture again and again.

Jesus came with purpose,
a purpose for us,
for our good and for His glory.

And Saturday…
is where faith waits.

We’re honored to be led and supported by women who truly care.

Meet Carrie...

Carrie serves as the secretary on the Board of Directors for Chayah Ministries, bringing a powerful testimony of God’s redeeming grace and a deep passion for leading women to Jesus Christ. Her life reflects the faithfulness of God through seasons of hardship, including abuse and alcohol addiction, and the freedom and restoration found through His grace and love.

Because of what Jesus has done in her own life, Carrie feels a strong calling to walk alongside other women—helping them believe that no past is too broken for God to redeem. Her heart is to see women experience healing, hope, and peace, and to know with confidence that Jesus is able to rescue, restore, and renew every life surrendered to Him.

Professionally, Carrie has served as a paralegal for 24 years, using her strengths in writing, research, and analysis to serve others with excellence, integrity, and care. Her legal background has shaped her strong attention to detail, effective communication, and deep commitment to compassion and accountability.

For the past three years, Carrie has also led women through Re:generation, a biblically based discipleship program at her church that focuses on healing, recovery, and freedom from a wide range of struggles.

Carrie enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking with her husband, writing, singing, listening to music, and being with her family. As a mother of seven and grandmother of six, she has witnessed firsthand the generational impact of restoration and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

What a beautiful week it has been.

We reflect on what Jesus was sent to earth for. HIS purpose was for each of us to be saved from sin.

Its Good Friday and it is GOOD indeed!

Isaiah 53:5 NLT
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

It’s been a while since we’ve introduced our Board of Directors…

These are the women SERVING, PRAYING, GUIDING, and SUPPORTING this ministry day in and day out.

In no particular order, meet Heather...

Heather serves on the Board of Directors of Chayah Ministries, providing organization, steadiness, and Spirit-led empathy to the women the ministry serves. With a shepherd’s heart shaped by her own journey, she brings insight, discernment, and compassion to every part of her role.

Heather’s story includes surviving pastoral abuse, divorce, and narcissistic abuse—experiences that allow her to walk with women through their own valleys with understanding and hope. She is passionate about helping women believe that healing is not only possible but promised in Christ.

A gifted writer, Heather communicates the truth and tenderness of the Gospel through Chayah’s weekly devotionals and other written resources. She uses her words to point women toward restoration, peace, and the steady presence of Jesus.

Heather’s greatest joy is her family, and she dreams of someday owning a second home closer to them so gatherings can be more frequent. She enjoys studying Scripture, traveling with her husband, and spending time outdoors, where she senses God’s nearness and renewal.

As we walked through our very first Sober Living Discipleship House today we prayed over every single room, every bed, every woman, every conversation, every interaction.

A few verses were referenced...

Our FOUNDATIONAL VERSE
Psalm 103:1-5
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. [2] Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— [3] who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, [4] who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, [5] who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Our HOPE....

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. [2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Galatians 5:22-25 NIV
[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. [24] Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. [25] Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

We were reminded The Lord has ALREADY gone before. The Lord, even when this house was built, had already planned for this house in this neighborhood with these women, for HIS purpose.

We are trusting the Holy Spirit to spread like a wildfire and renewal to take place well beyond these 4 walls.

We are trusting for BIG and MIGHTY testimonies in Jesus name!
