Welcome to Touch of Healing Counseling Center. We have been in business for over 20 years providing professional and compassionate care to children, families, couples and individuals. Our staff consists of licensed therapists and counselors. We accept most major insurance plans including Medicaid. We also have self-pay options for those without insurance or high deductibles.

Panic Attack vs. Heart Attack

The symptoms can feel terrifyingly similar. Chest pain. Shortness of breath. Sweating. Nausea. A sense of impending doom.

So how do you know?

🔹 Panic attacks are usually triggered by emotional stress and may include sharp chest pain, racing heart, trembling, or tingling. The symptoms typically peak and then fade within minutes.

🔹 Heart attacks often involve pressure or squeezing chest pain, pain that may travel to the jaw or arm, and symptoms that don’t fully go away. They’re more likely triggered by physical exertion.

Here’s the most important part:

👉 If it’s new.
👉 If it feels different.
👉 If you’re unsure.

Seek medical care. Never ignore new heart-related symptoms.

Anxiety is real.
