Fun Friday 4/17/26: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams had a great week out and about in the communities we serve!

We had a great time celebrating National Public Safety Week with the 911 Dispatchers at Henry County 911 , Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Houston County Sheriff's Office-GA, Spalding County Sheriff's Office, Clayton County Police Department ! 💛🖤 We also celebrated National Library week at J. Joel Edwards Public Library, Hightower Library, and Barnesville-Lamar County Library.

We crafted with our friends at Antebellum Grove and had a blast playing parachute games at Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center and hosting a butter bean auction Arrowhead Nursing.

We loved our day trip to Zoo Atlanta with the lovely residents of Governor's Glen Memory Care Community, playing BINGO at Bear Creek Senior Center and penny pinching at Alto Warner Robins.

As always, it was a great week with Brightmoor!

Thankful Thursday 4/16/2026:: Each Thursday we like to highlight a member of our staff that has gone above and beyond in some special way.

This week's submission comes from Melissa Edwards and Sara Grace Turner:

“Ashanti has truly gone above and beyond in caring for her patient, who has very limited local family support. In the beginning, the patient was hesitant to have staff coming in and out of her home, but through Ashanti’s compassion and consistency, she has built a strong, trusting relationship—so much so that the patient now asks for her by name and has grown to love her presence.

Ashanti not only ensures the patient’s daily needs are met, but she does so with genuine care and attention. She assists with Meals on Wheels by warming meals, adding seasoning to improve taste, and sitting with the patient to encourage her to eat. She also helps maintain a safe and clean home by tidying up, taking out the trash, discarding expired food, and staying on top of laundry—tasks that had previously gone undone.

As the patient has declined, Ashanti’s dedication has only deepened. She recently stayed with the patient to help prepare her for respite, washing and drying her clothes, packing her belongings, and providing comfort during a difficult transition. Ashanti cares for this patient as if she were her own grandmother, and it is incredibly touching to witness the level of compassion and love she brings to her work every day.”

Fun Friday 4/9/26: Our Community Outreach and Marketing Teams have been busy out and about in the communities we serve!

It's that time of year again and we love participating in all the Spring Festivals and Fairs! We loved participating in the "Egg-stravaganza" at Magnolia Manor, the Community Heath Fair with Pyramid Care Services , the Riverdale Easter Extravaganza and the Easter Egg Hunt with The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes.

We also celebrated Easter with Governor's Glen Memory Care Community and crafted with our friends at Upson County Senior Services. We celebrated 40 years with Theatre Macon and host a Virtual Dementia Tour for members of Clayton County Senior Services Department.

As always it was a great week at Brightmoor!
