Family Medical Center Provider Spotlight
Maggie Maguire, FNP was born and raised in Pike County, and has very strong ties to the local community. Maggie graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Emory University in 2012. She began her nursing career at The Medical Center of Central Georgia Emergency Dept in Macon, Ga in 2012. She then transitioned to Upson Regional Emergency Dept so she could work closer to home as she completed her Masters Degree. Maggie graduated from University of South Alabama in 2016 as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Maggie worked as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner for the past 8 years, and loves the fast pace of emergent/urgent medicine. Maggie joined the Family Medical Center in February 2022, and has enjoyed expanding her knowledge and practice in the family practice setting.
Over the past several years, Maggie has developed a passion for functional health and prevention. She has completed functional health education courses through The Elite NP, and has enjoyed combining that knowledge with traditional medicine to better serve her patients. She enjoys a focus on gut health and lifestyle changes to decrease/ avoid pharmaceuticals.
During her free time she enjoys exercising, cooking, camping, and traveling the panhandle beaches of Florida with her husband, kids, (9,6,4 and 3) and their 3 dogs.
