Miss Carrie braved the roads this morning so you don’t have to—and let’s just say… they’re pretty icky out there! 😬 She highly recommends staying cozy at home unless you really have to go out. If you can, wait until the sun comes up and things (hopefully!) calm down. Stay safe and snuggly! 🧣☕

“Every-bunny started the day with a smile! Our Easter week was a bunny-themed breakfast hop through all things adorable!”
Monday: “Zooming into the week with bunny race car donuts—ready, set, hop!”
Tuesday: “Art on toast! Our painted bunny toast made breakfast bright and fun.”
Wednesday: “Waffles went all ears—bunny waffles for a midweek hop!”
Thursday: “Cinna-hop! Bunny cinnamon rolls made Thursday sweet.”
Friday: “We ended the week hopping for joy with blueberry bunny muffins!”

A huge thank you to Southwest Iowa Tiling for participating in the Junior Class Easter Egg fundraiser and for egging our facility! Because of their generosity, our kids walked into classrooms full of surprises and smiles this morning. We are so lucky to have a local business that is dedicated not only to their work, but to supporting families and children in our community. Be sure to show them some love!

🥕🍽️ Taste Test Tuesday Recap! 🍽️🥕

The last two weeks have been full of some FUN (and brave!) taste testing here at Lakin of Griswold!

We tried:
👉 Hummus
👉 Beets

Let’s just say… we had some VERY honest opinions 😆

Some friends were all in, some were not so sure—but that’s what Taste Test Tuesday is all about! Trying new foods, exploring flavors, and learning what we like (and don’t like 😉).

Go ahead and check out the pictures… we’ll let their faces tell you if these were a hit or a miss! 📸

Please join us in congratulating Carrie Jefferson on getting her ServSafe Manager Certification! 👏👩‍🍳

Because of her hard work and dedication, we are proud to share that we now have a licensed kitchen right here at Lakin! 🍎🥗

This is a huge step forward for our program and the families we serve. Carrie, we appreciate your commitment to keeping our children safe, healthy, and well cared for every day!

We want to give a BIG thank you to Logan Evans for coming in to read to our kiddos a couple of weeks ago!

Logan is a firefighter/EMT in Red Oak and a volunteer in Griswold, and he made his visit extra special by bringing the ambulance for the children to see—talk about exciting! 🚑 The kids absolutely loved it and were so engaged the entire time.

Not only did he share a great story, but he also took time to connect with the kids and show them what it means to help others and serve the community ❤️

Experiences like this leave a lasting impression and inspire our little learners in the best way.

Thank you, Logan, for your service and for making such a fun and meaningful visit—we are so grateful! 👏
