Many people are surprised to learn that testosterone plays a meaningful role in women’s health, especially during midlife. It contributes to libido, energy, mood, and even muscle and bone support.
Unlike estrogen and progesterone, which change more dramatically around menopause, testosterone shifts more gradually over time. There are several ways testosterone can be prescribed, and safe, evidence-based dosing and monitoring is key.
Hormone health is so important but it's only one piece of a much broader picture that includes nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, social connection, and living life with intention.
