Meet Stephanie Sanchez, LPN.

Since becoming an LPN in 2020, Stephanie has brought her energy and heart to everything she does—and since joining Groton Regency in September 2025, she’s been a steady, caring presence our residents can count on. When she’s not working, you can find her cooking up her favorites (mac and cheese and wings) or enjoying time outside with her family.

For Administrative Professionals Week, we’re celebrating the people who keep everything moving behind the scenes, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Olivia Alongi our Business Office Manager.

Since joining the team, Olivia has brought steady, positive energy and a truly approach to everything she takes on. And outside of work… she’s getting married in May 💍 (𝘸𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴!!) When she’s not at work, you’ll find her reading, out on walks, or spending time with her family and her two dogs.

Today is National Healthcare Decisions Day.

This day is a reminder that your voice matters, especially when it comes to your health. Afterall, it is . Take time to talk with your loved ones, make your wishes known, and put your care preferences in writing. Planning ahead isn’t just smart, it’s an act of care. Here are five tips to help you have the right conversations.

1) You don't have to talk about everything, to everyone, all at once. The conversation of care should be an ongoing one as care journeys change.

2) Be patient. The idea of talking about healthcare directives can be overwhelming at first. Start off with small, quick conversations to get the ball rolling, and the longer, in-depth conversations will follow.

3) You don't have to lead the whole conversation. Allowing your loved ones to share their thoughts and concerns during these discussions is crucial. They may suggest something you hadn't yet considered.

4) Nothing you say is permanent. You can change your mind as often as you would like, but it starts with having conversations.

5) You may learn that your loved ones don't agree with your plans and wishes, and that's okay! The important thing is that you are having these conversations now and that you continue having them. This will ensure your loved ones will know your choices and follow through with them.

Meet Tatum — named after Jason Tatum and proudly the pet of our Admissions Director, Ava. A certified food bandit with zero shame and a serious love for the beach 🏖️😄 If food is out, it’s fair game… and he knows it.

When he’s not scouting snacks, he’s soaking up the sun and living his best life like he owns the place (honestly, he kind of does). 😏
