Trent Joseph Keith, age 24 of Grove, Oklahoma, the oldest of three children born to Christoper Lawrence Ahrens and Stephanie Lynn Keith was born Wednesday, August 8, 2001 in Vinita, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Monday, February 23, 2026 at his home.

At the young age of just seven years, he endured the tragic loss of his father. That event changed his life and the life of his family. Two years later, he along with his siblings were adopted by their maternal grandparents, Marvin and Brenda Keith. He was baptized at the Timberhill Baptist Church in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma. Trent attended school in Vinita through his sophomore year of high school, then relocated to Schell City, Missouri to live with his Aunt Nicole Keith and Uncle Broc Koshko. He attended Northeast Vernon County High School during his junior and senior years graduating with the Knights Class of 2019.

Post graduation he attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics.

Growing up, Trent participated in many athletic endeavors including football, baseball, wrestling and basketball. Many hours were spent traveling to wrestling matches throughout northeast Oklahoma. His success in wrestling gained invitations to wrestling camps in Pennsylvania and recognition in the USA Wrestling National Duals in Indianapolis, Indiana. When he wasn't playing organized sports, Trent loved to fish - and cared very little about what kind of fish or how big or small - he just wanted to catch them.

He spent a dedicated week each summer for several years with his Aunt "Cole" and Uncle Broc, siblings and cousins fishing on the Osage River. His biggest success was a 44-pound flathead caught on trot lines- again on the Osage. Another pass time that he enjoyed was watching all kinds of sports on TV - spending many hours watching basketball games and football games with his grandmother, especially the OKC Thunder and The Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, he might be considered a movie "buff”.

Of special mention in Trent's life was the love he had for his nephews, Trevor and Liam Keith

In addition to his very special nephews, Trent leaves behind his loving family which also includes his grandmother Brenda Keith of the home; two brothers, Shaun Keith and Colton Keith both also of the home; his mother, Stephanie Keith of Chetopa, Kansas; great-aunt Lisa Morris of Salina, Oklahoma; aunt and uncle Nicole Keith and Broc Koshko of Schell City, Missouri; and cousins, Derek Keith and Ashlee Keith both of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Brooklyn Keith of Schell City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of many, many friends.

Trent was preceded in death by his father Christopher Ahrens, grandfather Marvin Keith and his great-grandmother Joan Spade.

Trent’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, 1:00pm, February 27, 2026 at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 722 N. 46th St., Grove, OK 74344 with Pastor Jess Jones, Jr. officiating.

Ray Kempel, age 80, of Moore, Oklahoma, completed his earthly mission on January 27, 2026. He was born on September 27, 1945. He grew up in Miami, OK, and was an active member of FFA where he met his sweetheart, Debbie Bailey. Ray and Debbie married on November 6th, 1965.

No matter the season of life, he was always busy, always a go-getter, and always looking for ways to help others. Ray gave himself freely – whether through his wisdom or simply showing up when someone needed him.

He had a gift for finding the coolest hole-in-the-wall stores and discovering the most unique treasures, often turning simple outings into memorable adventures. Ray never held back from calling you out when needed – not to criticize, but to make you think, grow and see things differently. He loved to joke, tease, and pick on those he cared about, always with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.

His relationship with his Savior was an essential part of his life, and he found great comfort and purpose in sharing the word of Christ with others. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the laughter he shared, the lessons he taught and the love he so freely gave. It may have started with just a handshake, but he was leaving a little Jesus everywhere he went.
