These technically started a couple of rounds ago when they were added to my chemo regimen, but this is the start of the 'solo' infusions. I'll be doing this

Our first appointment today was with an 8-year-old who has alopecia. She was darling! She loved combing her new hair for the first time, and mom talked about fun hairdos they could do for the first time!! It was a blessing to watch! At the end of her visit, right before she walked out, she turned around and said, "Do other people wear wigs too?" I told her, "Yes! And soon you'll start to notice them all over town; at church, at the grocery store, at restaurants, everywhere!". She left with so much happiness and confidence and the feeling of not being alone in her hair loss journey ❤

September was Alopecia Awareness Month... Thank the Lord we have been busy helping so many amazing people in the community! If you see a young wig sister, let them know they aren't alone! 🤗

Dear Valued Customers...

Our location has provided a wig salon to the community since 1980, Joy Grogg took over the location and opened Tres Joli Wig Salon in 2012. In 2013 her son, Micah Grogg, and daughter in law, Christy Grogg, joined her in business with their online "sister" store and worked together for the next 10 years.

At Tres Joli Wig Salon Joy had a simple business plan "to make people happy". Through her love for helping people and her extensive knowledge and continued alternative hair education, Joy became a beloved figure in the community working with countless cancer patients all over the Central Coast. For years clients have traveled from all over California just to see her.

Sadly, in May of 2023 Joy was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer and quickly passed away in June of 2023. The plan was for her son and daughter in law to take over the salon when she was ready to retire, although the torch was passed much sooner than planned, Micah and Christy Grogg are continuing Joy's legacy, one of genuine care for the client, and the business plan "to make people happy".
