❄️ 🐾 FREEZE FOSTERS NEEDED! 🐾❄️

All of our indoor kennels are currently full with 78 dogs in our care, and our outdoor kennels are quickly filling as well. With 5 to 25 animals entering the shelter daily, we will have no choice but to house some of our medium and large sized dogs outdoors. While these kennels are covered, they do not have proper heating.

We want to reassure everyone that dogs who are not able to go into foster homes will NOT be euthanized due to being housed in outdoor kennels. We will continue to care for them by adding extra blankets (that we have plenty of thanks to donations!), beds, and tarps to help block the wind and keep them as warm and comfortable as possible.

That said, the safest and most effective option during freezing temperatures is placing dogs in temporary foster homes where they can stay warm indoors.

Freezing temperatures are expected to begin on Sunday after the rain. Foster pick ups can begin as early as today (1/20), through Saturday (1/24). Fosters may begin returning once temperatures warm, around Wednesday (1/28), but we will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as conditions change.

If you are able to foster, please submit a foster application online or come by the shelter to view the dogs in person. Our shelter is located at 1884 Pine St., Beaumont, TX 77703. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. You can also view the dogs currently in need by visiting our photo album titled "Canines of Beaumont Animal Care." Question? Call us at (409)838-3304!
