Meet Doug, a retired insurance and real estate broker whose commitment to serving his community continues through his role on the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Board of Commissioners. Doug retired in 2020 after more than 35 years in the insurance and real estate industry, where he built strong relationships and helped families plan for their futures.

Doug and his wife, Connie, live in Conrad and are proud parents to their daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Jeff, of Conrad, and their son, Steve, and his wife, Shannon, of Newton. They are blessed with nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In his spare time, Doug enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Serving on the Board of Commissioners since 2020, Doug shares, “Grundy County Memorial Hospital is so important to Grundy County and the surrounding areas. My family and I depend on GCMH for our health care, and you won’t find a more modern facility or more qualified and friendly staff. It has truly been an honor to serve.”
