Read below how we assess and improve your balance here at Body In Balance. With 1:1 hour long treatments, I assess multiple systems that work together to keep you balanced. I examine your Musculoskeletal System as weakness in muscles, tightness in muscles, and decreased range of motion in joints can play a role in making you off balanced. I assess your sensory system-decreased sensation in your feet or deficits in the way your feet perceive the ground can affect your balance. I examine your vestibular system with head turns and eye movements that may be making you off balanced, and last but not least, finding out the role your vision plays in keeping you more balanced. Then we stretch, strengthen and train your vestibular and sensory systems to challenge your balance and improve your daily function. I personalize it by training the activities you want to get back to the most! An example is, train turning and stepping if you want to get back to dancing. Or train stepping, uneven surfaces, and declines if stairs and ramps and walking on grass or gravel make you off balanced. Together, we can do anything!! 💜💪🏻🏋️

A glimpse of the first two blocks in our Strong For Life! Interval Strength Training Small Group Exercise class! Block 3 was an Upper Body Flow and Block 4 was Core! We got a good sweat and are training for our everyday activities! We are a small group of woman avoiding the natural muscle loss that can occur as we age and at the same time improving our everyday functioning. This class is joint friendly and great for people who have battled low back, hip, ankle or knee pain in the past! We support each other, get to know each other, and most importantly, are judgement free! Join us on Saturday Mornings! 8 am!
