Vision is a brain function, not just an eye issue. Nearly sixty percent of the brain helps process what we see, so after a stroke, concussion, or TBI, vision can change in ways that are often confusing and unexpected. Many people begin to struggle with reading, balance, depth perception, walking straight, or tolerating busy environments. These symptoms are real, and are often missed in a routine eye exam because the issue is in the brain, not the eyes.

At the Padula Institute of Vision, we specialize in evaluating how the eyes and brain work together. Our neuro visual evaluation looks beyond standard eyesight and helps identify the changes that commonly occur after neurological injury. There is help and there is hope. If you or someone you love is experiencing lingering symptoms after a stroke or TBI, we are here to support you on the path to recovery

Balance isn’t just about muscles and coordination. It starts with vision. The eyes send information to the brain about where we are in space. When that visual information becomes distorted or delayed after a concussion, stroke, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Lyme disease, or other neurological change, the brain can’t process movement the same way.

That’s when the world can start to feel off balance.

At the Padula Institute of Vision, we evaluate how the eyes and brain work together to guide movement, focus, and stability. Through neuro-visual rehabilitation, we help patients restore confidence one step at a time.

Sometimes healing takes more than one pair of hands.

Behind every patient finding their footing again is someone walking beside you on the path.

A spouse, parent, child, friend, a caregiver. Someone who shows up on the hard days, sits through appointments, listens, encourages, and gives encouragement when it feels overwhelming.

To every caregiver walking this road beside someone who needs you, thank you.
Your strength and patience doesn’t go unseen.

At the Padula Institute of Vision, healing is a team effort. We are grateful for every person who helps make progress possible.

When the brain changes, vision often does too. For those living with Parkinson’s, stroke, or Alzheimer’s, even simple movements can feel unfamiliar. The eyes and brain may no longer communicate well, affecting balance, depth perception, and confidence.

At the Padula Institute of Vision, we help reconnect those pathways through neuro-visual rehabilitation so patients can find their footing again.

The scariest thing about Halloween? Blocked peripheral vision. 👀

Masks and hats that limit side vision can disrupt balance, depth perception, and awareness. Make sure you have a full field of vision for a fun, safe, and sight-friendly night!
