Heeren Family Chiropractic We are very effective in reducing headaches, back and neck pain, numbness in the arms & hands, legs & feet.

We improve peoples lives by removing interference to their nerve system and coach them in regards to their lifestyle choices to improve their health and well being. Our mission is to improve peoples health, allowing them to reach their full potential by removing nerve intereference with specific chiropractic spinal adjustments. We use gentle adjusting techniques to make these spinal corrections. We also guide and coach our patients to make healthy nutritional choices and prescribe specific exercises for them in order to help their condition respond more quickly and become more stable to reduce the risk of their condition recurring.

Today marks 40 years since we opened the Heeren Family Chiropractic Center in Guilford. We've been so very blessed to be able to care for so many wonderful people over the years, improving their health naturally through chiropractic care. We've also been so very fortunate to live and raise our family in this wonderful community 💖. I am amazed how quickly those 40 years have gone and look forward to helping many more people in the future. A Big thank you to everyone who have made these last 40 years possible!!

Another reason to workout and stay active!
Studies show muscle mass tends to deteriorate at the rate of 8% per decade after age 40. New mouse and human studies reveal that this loss is due to inactivity, rather than to age alone, since there is no muscle mass lost in athletes (mouse or human) who continue to work out into their 80's (or equivalent in mouse years!) To avoid old age weakness, evaluate your exercise regime for strength training, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular benefits and devise a plan you can use into your 80's. It's never too late to strengthen your body!

Something to think about!
Historically, mankind received 100% of calories from natural fruits, veggies, nuts, wild game and fish. Americans now receive two-thirds of their calories from processed sugar, fats and oils, grains and alcohol. Consider shifting your caloric intake away from current trends back towards the natural diet of our ancestors.
It will improve your health!

Another reason to exercise and keep moving every day!!

The lymph system, like the bloodstream, carries larger sized nutrients throughout the body, and helps remove waste products. However, there is no "heart" to pump lymph, it moves only when the body moves or "exercises". Without movement, lymph stagnates, and the body becomes poisoned. So get that lymph moving for a healthy body!

The brain is the only part of the body that you want to be fat! The brain is 65% fat, and it needs healthy Omega-3 fatty acids daily to rebuild tissue and maintain structure. Optimal average daily consumption through diet and supplements should be at least 1500 mg per day of healthy fats. The liquid forms of purified supplements can provide this much in 2 tablespoons of high quality fish oil, but pill form may requires 15 pills to reach this therapeutic dose. Analyze your daily total intake of healthy fats, and assess if you are feeding your brain enough (from diet or supplements) for healthy function!

The body builds all cells and systems (blood, lymph, nerve, brain, skin etc.) based on the raw materials it has available, making wise substitutions when necessary. It can recycle amino acids from existing protein chains, and is miraculous in its ability to manage resources. The quality of the products you put in through food choices will determine how effectively your body is able to do its job keeping you strong and healthy. Consider improving your diet to include more healthy foods your body can use to keep you healthy!
