Scar massage is a crucial part of post op recovery.

Dense scar tissue can limit tissue gliding, which can affect your movement patterns and increase your pain.

Scar massage can be done by hand on your own home. It can also be done in your therapy appointments or with tools such as the cup to promote additional gliding.

Follow it up with exercise to encourage continued tissue, gliding and retraining how to utilize that new range of motion you have gained.

Talk to your therapist about when you should be starting scar massage after an injury or surgery.

Rebuilding a runner from the ground up 🏃🏽‍♀️

Gluteus Maximus tendinopathy isn’t just a hip problem. It’s a kinetic chain problem.

Jon is breaking down how the hip, pelvis, knee and even the arch of the foot all influence load. When we assess running mechanics, we look at how force travel through the entire system, not just where it hurts.

Stronger foundation smarter loading, confident return to running

Our days never look the same! The only thing that is the same…Our goal to get our patients feeling better and back to function.

Balance is not just about strength—it’s a coordinated effort between the nervous system, muscles, and sensory input.

Our Neuro Occupational Therapists use targeted balance challenges, such as unstable surfaces and reaching tasks, to improve postural control, body awareness, and safety during everyday activities. This type of training helps patients feel steadier on their feet, move with more confidence, and reduce fall risk—especially during the winter months when ice and snow increase hazards.

Occupational therapy focuses on improving function where it matters most: real life. If balance concerns are limiting your safety or independence, we’re here to help.
