SHE TRAINED IN GENERAL SURGERY AT EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY FOLLOWED BY A YEAR LONG FELLOWSHIP IN BREAST AND BODY CONTOURING AT UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI. DR. COLLINS SPENT THE NEXT THREE YEARS IN A FELLOWSHIP IN PLASTIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY AT EMORY UNIVERSITY. SHE HAS BEEN AWARDED FOR HER WORK IN BREAST RECONSTRUCTION AND BODY CONTOURING. I am a plastic surgeon with two areas of focus: The first is comprised of reconstructive surgery patients, referred to me by other doctors; the second centers on cosmetic surgery of the face and body. I enjoy most types of reconstructive plastic surgery, from difficult wound problems to skin cancer reconstruction. I have a particular interest in facial reconstruction for skin and eyelid cancers or trauma, as well as breast reconstruction for women who have had breast cancer. In my cosmetic practice, I see a growing number of men, as well as a range of women from young women in their twenties and thirties who desire enhancements: from non-surgical skin care to breast augmentation, to women in their 40s and beyond who desire any range of aesthetic treatments to improve and restore their appearance using both non-surgical and surgical rejuvenation.

These are difficult cases in breast surgery. Deflated breasts can happen because of weigth loss, aging and sometimes when a larger implant is removed and the patient does not want to put new implants back in. Dr. Collins, in addition to plastic surgery fellowship, did a year of specialty fellowship focused on breast and body contouring. It gives us great satisfaction to deliver these beautiful results in the most challenging cases. This patient suffers from lipedema. After correction of some of the problems associated with lipedema, she opted for breast reshaping to go along with her other procedures. A reverse abdominoplasty and brachioolasty along with a braline-back lift were also performed at the same time.
