Part of being self employed is wearing many hats….and today I wore the hat of the massage chair repair lady 👩‍🔧

I was wondering why screws kept falling out of my chair, and of course, I discovered this as we began the expo today.

But…the show must go on! Thankfully showed up with a screw driver and we were back in business!

Ok, the entire month of October flew by and I didn’t make any “Breast Cancer Awareness” posts. There’s a few reasons why: general work-life busy-ness but also, for breast cancer survivors it can be a bittersweet month. It can bring up some ptsd and survivor’s guilt. The “pink washing” can seem insincere from major companies. I have a love-not so much love relationship with the whole thing.

HOWEVER! My husband, the lovely wears his pink chef coat every Friday in October and quizzes his students on breast cancer facts. Every year he brings awareness to young minds who have their whole lives ahead of them and should know the statistics and benefits of early detection. THAT’S the importance of breast cancer awareness month.

🪷🪷 NEW HOURS IN EFFECT NOVEMBER 10th 🪷🪷

Fall Softball season has ended. These hours will be in effect for the next few months until Mara’s taekwondo starts 😜

Thank you, everyone, for your flexibility and understanding. Work-life balance is very important and it means a lot to see my kiddo partake in her activities.

As always, I am happy to accommodate when I can. Are you a fan of Monday mornings? Just shoot me a text and I will see if we can work something out!

Self care day complete ☺️
Started the day with an ahmazing pedicure from .branford then headed over to .ct where I had exactly what I wanted: some reading time in their salt room and a LARGE chocolate chili latte…and ended with a tarot reading.

I have been burning the candle at both ends lately and today was exactly the rest and rejuvenation I needed. I am sooo thankful to be on the shoreline with such incredible businesses!

Last Sunday Mara and I attended the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Hartford. It was a nice change from the stadium to Bushnell Park which was so lovely and sprawling. Mara really enjoyed walking through downtown Hartford to get there and can’t wait to go back. They also handed out seeds to plant this year which was a nice addition. I’ll be honest, last year I didn’t love the walk and thought about avoiding it this year. I’m glad we went. They really put the effort in to make it a nice experience for the survivors. 💕
