Meal Prep Quote of the week:
“The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” -Ann Wigmore
Week 8 (or something?): Been a minute since I’ve posted our food prepping, but it’s been continuous for the most part. Got a little fancy and I’m proud to say I’m becoming a slightly more adventurous “amateur” chef. So much healthy fresh ingredients... I even used fresh rosemary!!
Meal #1
Chicken Salad- Grapes & Pecans (moms recipe)
Pasta Salad- Olives, Cucumber, & Tomatoes
Sautéed Asparagus & Mushrooms with Olive Oil and Fresh Rosemary
Meal #2
Pressure Cooked Barbeque Tenderloin
Fresh Green Beans Simmered in Beef Broth
Jasmine Rice

I’ve noticed I’m one of those “stay on the outside of the grocery store” people... because the isles have all of the “BAD” processed foods. I miss those days of ignorant bliss sometimes 😉

This is what the beginning of the meal prepping process looks like in our house... still a few items missing, but I’m sure you get the point 😉

They say laughter is the best medicine, but I’m gonna keep taking the supplements just in case. Can’t believe I’m using “old people” pill sorters. At least I know what day it is 😉 I forgot to add the fish oil to the picture too... must be working though, because I don’t take any pharmaceutical prescriptions and rarely get sick!

Looking to “outsource” your stretching? It’s kinda one of the things we (Celeste and Patrick) do 😉 We can even teach you Myofascial Release Exercises so you can help alleviate pain and maintain a balanced body on your own.

Located inside Gulf Shores' McCollough Institute for Appearance and Health, Patrick Byrne of Equilibrium is dedicated to providing comprehensive healing by offering treatment, assessment, and support for a wide range of health-related issues. Patrick has studied massage therapy, exercise physiology, biology, chemistry, nursing, and neuromuscular therapy and is skilled in assessing each individual's unique needs.
During your first visit, Patrick will thoroughly evaluate your current condition, address specific problem areas or concerns, and discuss expected results. Your massage or bodywork sessions will then be customized in order to achieve the best results on the day of your appointment. More than one massage technique may be used during a session.
Each massage session takes place on a specially designed table that provides stability and comfort.
The overall benefits of massage and bodywork include but are not limited to general relaxation, alleviation of muscular pain, easing tension and headaches, stress relief, reduction of anxiety, postural alignment, tension relief created by "compensation", and relief of chronic pain.
Post-Surgical Therapy is recommended after surgery in order to organize fascia plains and soft tissue, increase circulation for better nutrient uptake and waste removal, break down existing scar tissue and prevent the formation of new scar tissue, promote healing which allows for shorter recovery time and improved function.
This works with all types of surgeries including joint surgeries, full joint replacement, spinal surgery, abdominal or intestinal surgeries, organ transplants, open heart surgery, skin grafts, liposuction, tummy tucks, and breast surgeries including implants, mastectomy, and/or radiation therapy.
Pre-Surgical Therapy is also recommended prior to surgery to help properly align and position the joint, thus making it easier for the surgeon to manipulate the joint. Additionally, this allows for more space in the joint capsule in order for the surgeon to work more efficiently.
