Hello! Wondering how others are dealing with OPTUM's almost daily mailings, requesting money back. Honest to God, find a dozen or so envelopes every week, all separate, all asking for anywhere from $1.95 to $3.75 back, because THEY screwed up! And, they want separate checks for each one! I mailed back three checks for 18 of these requests, writing each one in memo space, and including all the little sections of the bill, showing which were being paid. Sent in Certified, (not that I don't trust them, Ha!). They sent two back, saying I needed separate checks! No electronic payments, checks. they were being sent to my home, but came to clinic today to find one here as well. It's a royal pain, just curious if anyone has found a way around. Thank you

Florida Blue just sent me an email about how to lower patients stress level. I had to laugh, they could lower their providers stress level by actually PAYING them for services rendered. Still waiting for payment for visits in November 2022! They conveniently sent the payments to an old address. But used the right, current address to send letters requesting money back from older payments! hmm, coincidence????

Wow!

"On August 8th 1982 a line drive foul ball hits a four year old boy, Jonathan Keane, in the head at Fenway Park. Jim Rice, realizing in a flash that it would take EMTs too long to arrive and cut through the crowd, sprang from the dugout and scooped up the boy.
"He laid the boy gently on the dugout floor, where the Red Sox medical team began to treat him. When the boy arrived at the hospital 30 minutes later, doctors
said Jim's prompt actions were instrumental in saving the boy's life. Jim returned to the game in a blood-stained uniform. A real badge of courage.
"After visiting the boy in the hospital, and realizing the family was of modest means, he stopped by the business office and instructed that the medical bill be
sent to him.
"The spring following the incident, Jonathan was asked to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Red Sox's home game opener. He gladly accepted and had the opportunity to reconnect with Rice."
