The end of an era.

We’ve had alot of messages about problems with our telephone & we are just wanting to update all past & present patients that our number has NOT changed but there has been a disruption in the wiring underneath our building that AT&T is having to completely restore & rewire. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are trying to get this situated as quickly as possible. You may send us a message through this page and someone will contact you just as soon as we possibly can, we are currently backed up on messages and insurance because of this issue. This week, we will be featuring the best zookeepers in the WORLD- our very own 🥰

Ashley Burgos has been a weekend keeper & events specialist for Wild Acres from our opening in 2018, you’ll always be able to spot her as the one with the biggest smile on her face! She studied zoology at MGCCC & is currently taking courses on animal conservation with Unity. Her heart has been consumed by animals her entire life & has stated that her 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 when landing at Wild Acres. She has been more than a dedicated member of this team, and it shows with each & every task given. The same as other keepers, she also says it’s EXTREMELY hard to choose just one, but her favorite animal to work with would have to be 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐨. They are quite the duo!

“The challenges and opportunities these beautiful, wild & exotic animals allow you to learn from them is such an amazing & exhilarating experience. To work within close proximity & have relationships to these fascinating beings (including my amazing bosses in this mix as well) has been such a reward in my life & i’m thankful everyday. I wasn’t always the biggest bird fan honestly, but when I met Sully he made me understand how heartfelt & affectionate birds can truly be & my heart opened up to a completely new way of understanding. So many of our animals have shown such love when it was needed the most & in return I will protect, nurture, & care for them to the best of my abilities all the days of my life. I couldn’t create or imagine up a better work place or staff” 🤍
