Project MIA Project M.I.A. educates high-risk African American men who have sex with men and their partners in the MS Gulf Coast Region. HIV/STD prevention.

Project M.I.A targets high risk negative African American men who have sex with men (MSM), ages 13-29 and their partners in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Region, including Harrison, Hancock, Jackson, George, Pearl River, and Stone counties. Project M.I.A aims to educate participants on the reduction of risky sexual behaviors, prevention of HIV and STDs and to improve the overall health status of African American MSM through the Many Men, Many Voices (3MV) intervention. Many Men, Many Voices is a seven- session small group intervention for HIV/STD prevention among Black Gay Men. The intervention is designed to influence behavior change in relation to HIV/STD prevention. The sessions strategically address specific influencing factors in a purposeful sequence.
