Dr. Frigoās Story - Frigo Orthodontics
Born and raised in New Orleans, the youngest of four brothers and three sisters, I attended Jesuit High School and then Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston where I played football on the 1984 National Championship football team. I then signed a football scholarship with Louisiana State University where I studied Zoology and was a two-year letter-man also playing on the 1986 LSU SEC Championship football team.
I began my dental education at the LSU School of Dentistry graduating with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992 as a member of the highly esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. I then entered the United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Barksdale Air Force Base then on to Columbus AFB. After serving out my three-year commitment with the Air Force and working for two years in the private practice of dentistry, I returned to Louisiana State University School of Dentistry to embark on a two-year post graduate program in orthodontics. After graduating at the top of my class, I moved to the Gulf Coast to begin a career in the practice of orthodontics.
As an orthodontist, I have over 20 years of experience have treated over 8,000 cases. I am always focused on the psychological and physiologic growth and development of every patient while producing remarkable smiles and amazing experiences. As a parent of four children of my own, I truly enjoy working with other parents like myself mentoring and interacting with their children helping them become successful individuals while striving to joyfully maximize their true potential; and as an entrepreneur and small business owner, each day I work hard to instill a love for continual learning and an appreciation for a hard-work ethic while always searching for opportunities to add more value to the lives of all of my adult patients.
I have been happily married to my college sweetheart Kerri Lynn Breland of Bay St. Louis for over 28 years with two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons. I am an active member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, and when I am not checking Invisalign treatment plans or enjoying time with my family, I can be found hanging-out with Murphy, our golden-doodle, Molly, our Bernie-Poo, and Millie, their baby! And I am always looking for opportunities to travel, fish, sail, or just sit back and play some Jack Johnson or Jimmy Buffet on the guitar while the dogs provide backup howling!
