Faith Leaders (of All Religions) — You’re invited to the Lake County Faith Committee’s Fall Meet & Greet on Wednesday, November 13.
I’ve had the pleasure of serving on this interfaith committee for nearly two years—where community and ministry come together to strengthen how we serve others.
Now more than ever, faith leaders need shared best practices to support our congregations and communities—especially around domestic and family violence.
The Lake County Faith Committee (LCFC) is an interfaith subcommittee of the Lake County Domestic Violence Council, under the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Mission Statement:
Empower faith communities, through training and education, to work together to increase awareness and respond to the causes and effects of family violence in our homes, communities, and places of worship.

🌿 Why This Matters to Me
Faith and spirituality are at the heart of my work in mental health. The Lake County Faith Committee offers an interfaith space to connect, learn, and share resources that help me better support my community, congregations, and clients.
This past summer, I also completed my first unit of Chaplain training and became a member of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)—broadening my ability to care for spiritual well-being during times of crisis.
“Our spiritual health profoundly impacts our physical health, well-being, and quality of life. Just as medical professionals care for our bodies and minds, spiritual care practitioners care for our spirits.”
