“Some of my most meaningful experiences were caring for fertility patients who were finally delivering their long‑awaited babies. Those moments were incredibly special and ultimately inspired me to join the REI department. I knew I wanted to support patients earlier in their journey and help them reach that same joyful milestone.” 💙
Part 3: Treating Thyroid Disorders 💊
In the third and final installment in this series on the connection between thyroid health and fertility, Dr. Eli Reshef explains how levothyroxine (synthetic T4) is used to treat hypothyroidism. The goal is to restore healthy thyroid hormone levels—guided by TSH and free T4—which can help support regular ovulation and a healthy pregnancy.
Monitoring matters: dosing is individualized and adjusted based on lab results. If you’re TTC or pregnant, talk with your provider about more frequent checks.
