Country View Estates has recently become certified to offer Supported Employment Services. This is a wonderful program that bridges the gap between employers looking for employees and disabled persons looking for gainful employment.

Supported employment services are designed to help individuals with disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, and traumatic brain injuries, obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment in the general workforce, with ongoing support as needed.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
Focus on Competitive Employment:
Supported employment aims to place individuals in jobs that are open to the general public and pay a standard wage.
Ongoing Support:
Unlike traditional job training programs, supported employment provides ongoing support to help individuals maintain their jobs, which can include job coaching, skills training, and assistance with navigating workplace challenges.

Examples of Services:
Vocational Assessment: Identifying skills, interests, and career goals.
Job Search and Development: Finding and securing job placements.
Job Skills Training: Providing training and support to improve job skills.
Job Coaching: Providing on-site support to help individuals learn job tasks and adapt to the workplace.
Assistive Technology: Providing tools and equipment to help individuals perform their jobs.
Social Skills Training: Helping individuals develop the social skills needed for a successful workplace.
Employer Relations: Working with employers to address any concerns or challenges.
Follow-Along Support: Providing ongoing support to help individuals maintain their employment.

CVE provides many programs and supports to provide independent living, such as Supported Employment. In the Supported Employment services adults are supported in gainful employment. We work on everything from resume writing to being productive and professional. Shown here is our Cleaning Crew. They provide cleaning services to area businesses.

Country View Estates in Guthrie Center is looking to hire full-time and part-time direct support professionals. While experience is preferred, it is not required. Country View Estates will pay for all training and certifications required. As an employee, you will be provided health insurance at no cost. Life, dental, and vision insurance are also available. Country View Estates offers a matching retirement program and AFLAC.

As a direct care professional, you will care for adults experiencing intellectual or mental disabilities. Your main duties include teaching and assisting with basic housekeeping tasks, transporting to appointments and various community settings, and keeping members safe from potential hazards in their surrounding environment.

Country View Estates is looking for a kind-hearted, patient, and selfless individual to teach and assist our members with everyday life skills.

The right candidate enjoys making a difference in the lives of others and is open to change. The ideal candidate has computer experience. All candidates must have a valid driver's license, pass a health exam, and state/federal background checks. Medication Management and CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Country View Estates will provide this training, if needed, upon the hiring of the ideal candidate and thereafter.

The direct support professionals of Country View Estates are required to assist with any and all aspects of making sure our members THRIVE, not just exist. These duties can include but are not limited to cleaning, cooking, transportation, medical appointments, community integration, yard work, and basic hygiene needs.
