Who is Dr. Andy Allen-
Dr. Andy Allen grew up in Albia, Iowa. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he studied biology with a medical emphasis. His original plan was to pursue physical therapy school after college, and he spent many hours working in hospitals and clinics gaining valuable experience. Over time, his interests evolved toward chiropractic care, where he was drawn to its focus on treating the whole person and promoting lifelong health and wellness.
Dr. Allen went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated with honors in 2004. Following graduation, he practiced for a few years in southern Iowa, allowing him to reconnect with his roots.
In 2007, Dr. Allen purchased and succeeded the practice in Guthrie Center, Iowa, from Dr. Ralph Schramm, who had faithfully served the community in that same location for 42 years. This spring marks 19 years since Dr. Allen began Allen Family Chiropractic, P.C., where he continues to provide dedicated, patient-centered care.
Dr. Allen is the proud father of four children—Bennett, Avery, Abbey, and Amelia—and enjoys spending time with them whenever he can. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, playing pickleball, working on DIY projects, and watching a good movie. His strong faith and deep commitment to family, friendships, and community are what ground him and continue to motivate him both in life and in his practice.
