I loooooved Kim Chance’s newest release! She captures all the tension and chemistry so well, but still keeps that door firmly closed. Even though the characters are influencers in a competition, this was a deeply heartfelt novel. Becca and Lucky had to process some very real challenges.

Ahhhh... It is so good to be back on Jonathon Island! Seriously, I would buy up one of those $1 houses and start my own bookstore if I could.

I loved Eliza and Oliver. I loved the peek into the publishing and bookish world. I loved the return of the horses. I loved the visits from characters from previous novels. I loved it all.

Current nightstand stack 📚

A little bit of everything right now — cozy, mystery, and a couple I’ve just barely started. I’m still in the “getting to know you” phase with most of these, so no strong opinions yet… just enjoying the quiet moments when I can read a few pages before bed.

One of the things that has been working lately is to dedicate 10 minutes to reading just before I turn off the light. It's been a great way to calm my mind at night!

This season of reading looks like slow progress, multiple bookmarks, and reading whatever fits the day — and honestly, that’s okay. A reading life has to fit a full life.

What’s currently on your nightstand?

Of all the books I've read this year, not a single one can compare to this. The greatest story ever told, written by the greatest Author of all stories. His love for His people cannot be contained.

Jesus. It's all about Jesus. I am so thankful that He is still writing my story.

Everyone thinks about books just a little differently. A 5-star read for me might not mean the same as a 5-star read for you. I think it's important to know what a reviewer is looking at before taking their review into consideration for your own reading choices.

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from Caffeinated Bookish Mom!

One Foggy Christmas

Closed-door romance

This was the saddest love story, but it was oh-so-beautiful!

Sadie and Nash have a love that is off the charts in chemistry and connection. But when a ski accident leaves her without her memory, everything changes. Nash sets out to win back his wife, and to begin to rebuild their life together. Sadie isn't so easy to win back though, especially when she thinks she's still in love with her ex-boyfriend!

I loved this story! I love that it focused on the depth of their love, and not just the first moments. We get to see their first love story, and then see it all unfold again on a deeper level.

You will laugh and cry. You will root for Sadie and Nash from beginning to end!

Oh goodness, this was delightful! I was grinning the whole time!

Magnolia is a 911 dispatcher. Collin is a police officer. She’s escaping a horrible relationship. He’s focused on the job. But when he needs a wife to propel his reputation for an upcoming sheriff’s election, she thinks it might offer her some security from her stalker ex. Neither one expected that those fake dates would turn into something much, much deeper.

Seriously, I loved this. I loved the goofy little pet names. I loved his protective instincts. I loved the sister bond. Magnolia and Collin had alllll the chemistry. This is a super fun enemies-to-lovers romance free of language and spice.

This is book 2 in the series, but could be read as a stand alone. If you liked the Mapleton series, you should love this! Her cozy mystery series is also fantastic! I’m convinced can do no wrong!
