I LOVE spring! I know that so many people dislike it with the weather, allergies, and all that. But I love it. I love the warmer weather, the new blooms, the rainy days, stormy nights. It's all about freshness and resetting after the cold winter.

And springtime cozy mysteries are no exception! I love that cozies prove that mysteries are great all year round! There is a cozy mystery to fit every season, mood, hobby, and interest!

I loooooved Kim Chance’s newest release! She captures all the tension and chemistry so well, but still keeps that door firmly closed. Even though the characters are influencers in a competition, this was a deeply heartfelt novel. Becca and Lucky had to process some very real challenges.

This book might be for you if you like….

Ahhhh... It is so good to be back on Jonathon Island! Seriously, I would buy up one of those $1 houses and start my own bookstore if I could.

I loved Eliza and Oliver. I loved the peek into the publishing and bookish world. I loved the return of the horses. I loved the visits from characters from previous novels. I loved it all.

Current nightstand stack 📚

A little bit of everything right now — cozy, mystery, and a couple I’ve just barely started. I’m still in the “getting to know you” phase with most of these, so no strong opinions yet… just enjoying the quiet moments when I can read a few pages before bed.

One of the things that has been working lately is to dedicate 10 minutes to reading just before I turn off the light. It's been a great way to calm my mind at night!

This season of reading looks like slow progress, multiple bookmarks, and reading whatever fits the day — and honestly, that’s okay. A reading life has to fit a full life.

Of all the books I've read this year, not a single one can compare to this. The greatest story ever told, written by the greatest Author of all stories. His love for His people cannot be contained.

Jesus. It's all about Jesus. I am so thankful that He is still writing my story.

2025 was a good reading year! I was a little surprised to see how many of my top-rated books were middle grade and YA! This year’s favorites include romance, YA, novel-in-verse, dystopian, and cozy fantasy!
