March 10 marks the 20th National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ( ).

Women accounted for 19% of new HIV diagnoses in 2023 but only 9% of PrEP users in 2024, highlighting a persistent gap in HIV prevention.

This NWGHAAD, we recognize the importance of connecting women to prevention, testing, treatment, and care at every stage of life.

February 7 marks National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a moment to recognize the continued, disproportionate impact of HIV on Black communities across the U.S.

In 2023, Black people accounted for 38% of new HIV diagnoses and 39% of people living with HIV, despite representing just 12% of the U.S. population. Among adolescents and young adults, nearly half of all new diagnoses occurred in Black individuals, underscoring the urgency of sustained, focused action.

This day is a vital reminder to:
🔬 Get Educated on the facts about HIV prevention, treatment, and U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable).
🧪 Get Tested to know your status.
✊🏾 Get Involved in the fight to end stigma and health disparities.
💊 Get Treatment because care is essential to living and thriving.

❄️ Winter’s here with a vengeance, NJ! ❄️

The historic is painting our state white and we hope you're all staying safe and warm at home.

⚠️ IMPORTANT CLOSURE NOTICE: Due to the severe weather and hazardous conditions, Buddies of NJ, Inc. will be CLOSED on Monday, January 26th.

The safety of our team and our community is our top priority. We will reopen when weather conditions permit and it is safe to do so.

We will post updates here regarding our reopening. Please check back for the latest info.

In the meantime, please:
👉🏽 Check on your neighbors, especially seniors.

Our office is closed in observance of this national day of reflection and service.
