I had an awesome experience with our Meet The Doc event at .fortlee on Monday!

I’m so glad I got to meet a bunch of the members and staff of the gym, and help them out.

We went through a 10-15 minute assessment then provided some treatment and exercises that they could start incorporating into their routines immediately!

We all deal with aches and pains when we’re training hard. But they don’t have to hold us back. We just need to learn how to solve them so we can become the best version of ourselves going forward!

How To Perform Nordic Curls

These are one of the best exercises out there to train your hamstrings. You’ve probably heard of them at this point and seen all the research supporting their utilization.

So how do you them?
Well, follow along with this video to understand how to set it up and then perform them on your own. We even discussed how to regress it if you find the standard version too difficult!

Reverse Hypers

I love programming these to target the posterior chain 🔥

They target our lower back, glutes and hamstrings

You’ll feel a great pump in this region and you can always add load as you progress through them regularly. Try placing a weight between your ankles or using a banded set up.

Glute Ham Raise 🔥

This is an absolute game changer when it comes to training the hamstrings.

It brings you from a fully shortened position (knees flexed and hips extended) to a fully stretched position (knees extended and hips flexed)

This allows you to train the FULL range of motion of the hamstrings

As you get better with these you can add weight by holding a plate against your chest and really crush those hammies!

I love pairing cupping with movement!

This is one of my favorite techniques to use with my shoulder patients. It does a great job targeting some of the musculature on the back side of the shoulder complex that typically limits proper overhead mobility.

While that tissue is being mobilized I’m also educating them on getting full scapular upward rotation with that overhead press.
