Sometimes the biggest battles athletes face aren’t on the court — they’re inside the body.

🏀 Chris Bosh’s story is bigger than basketball.

In 2015, at the height of his career, Chris Bosh was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs (pulmonary embolism) — a life-threatening condition, not just a sports injury. He was hospitalized immediately and ruled out for the rest of the season.

In 2016, the blood clots returned.

To prevent another episode, he required long-term blood thinners — medications that save lives but significantly increase bleeding risk. In a contact sport like basketball, even a routine collision could have caused internal bleeding or stroke.

At just 31 years old, his NBA career ended — not because of skill, but because of health and survival.

💭 Lesson: Strength isn’t only pushing through pain.
Sometimes strength is choosing life over the game.
