Dr. Irina Perelman is a therapeutic optometrist with over 25 years of experience. At her new optometric office located in a professional building at 90 Main St. in Hackensack, you can get a comprehensive eye examination, a contact lens fitting and buy quality and fashionable eyeglasses in a personalized, patient-loving atmosphere and at competitive prices. Dr.Perelman is on panels of many major medical insurance companies (Medicare, Medicare Complete, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford). She is versed in diagnosing and treating various eye related conditions and disorders. Dr. Perelman conducts exams in Spanish, Russian and Hebrew. Dr Perelman worked as the sole optometrist f next to Sears Optical in Hackensack for 22 years. Sears Optical closed in March 2018 and Dr. Perelman opened her own optometric practice in May 2018. Patients are seen by appointment but walk-ins are welcome. Patient parking is available.

Dr. Irina Perelman graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with honors from Yeshiva University and received a Doctor of Optometry Degree from SUNY College of Optometry in NYC. She has extensive experience in family optometry, including pediatric and geriatric optometry as well as in diagnosing, treating, and co-managing various eye disorders like cataracts, dry eye, pink eye, eye allergies, macular degeneration, glaucoma, keratoconus and more. Dr. Perelman is also versed in fitting patients with complicated contact lens prescriptions and offers patients comprehensive solutions to their eye-related problems.
