A non-profit organization, Heath Village represents an affordable choice for today's retirees. Application can be made for any level of living.

•151 independent apartments,
•A 10-unit cottage community,
•41 hotel-style apartments,
•A 40-bed Residential Health Care Facility, and
•A 99-bed comprehensive Skilled Nursing Center. Residents can remain on campus (with the exception of hospital stays) near their spouse and friends regardless of health status. We have been offering “unbundled” services since our inception. You have the option of paying a modest Community Fee, thus allowing your monthly maintenance fee to be reduced. In either case, you are in control of your assets. Village apartments and cottages are nestled within “miniature neighborhoods,” scattered throughout the campus. All single story structures, they offer easy egress and opportunities for cheery flower gardens right outside your door. We have a variety of floor plans from which to choose, ranging in size from studios to two bedroom units. Apartments are leased unfurnished so you can create your own “personal touch” with individualized decorating. A 24-hour personal security pendant provides security and peace of mind. Maintenance-free living gives you the freedom to live your life to the fullest. Except for telephone and cable service, all utilities are included. You may also enjoy the companionship of a pet in your new home. Our convenient on-site guest accommodations allow for carefree visits from family and friends.

We had a wonderful time celebrating “Bring Your Kids to Work Day” at Heath Village! 😊

It was so special to welcome the children of our staff to campus and give them a chance to see where their parents work while experiencing the Heath Village community firsthand.

The day was filled with fun and learning—from a science experiment with residents, to a “how to take your blood pressure” demonstration with our Nursing team, to an obstacle course in Rehab, and even some friendly ping-pong matches. We wrapped up the celebration with a pizza party and an ice cream sundae bar!

Our Heath Village family and their loved ones had an amazing time together, making memories throughout the day. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special, and a huge shoutout to our Activities Department for organizing such a fantastic day!

Happy Arbor Day! 🌳 Our Arbor Day Ceremony has been a proud tradition at Heath Village since 1974. Each year, we celebrate by planting a new tree on our beautiful campus, continuing our commitment to sustaining the natural environment of our community. We were especially happy to once again welcome students from the Friendship Center, who joined residents in this meaningful tradition. Together, they planted an Adams Crabapple Tree on our lower campus, each taking part by adding soil to help it grow. With perfect weather and wonderful energy from all involved, it was an amazing ceremony as we added another tree to our growing community.

It’s always wonderful to see our residents return from their travels so excited to share their experiences. Dottie and Rob were delighted to share highlights from their journey to India, reflecting on the beauty they encountered and the meaningful memories they brought home. It was truly a special program for our community.

We were proud to once again host our annual Advanced Care Planning Program in honor of National Healthcare Decisions Day, welcoming both residents and members of the greater community.

The seminar was led by Heath Village’s Director of Social Services, Danielle Pangallo, who brings more than 17 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). Danielle shared valuable guidance on documenting your wishes, creating an advance directive (living will), appointing a healthcare power of attorney, and having important conversations with loved ones and medical professionals.

Happy 107th Birthday to Lena Rowe! Our community, along with her family, celebrated Mgalina “Lena” Rowe who on April 6th celebrated her 107th birthday! Prior to moving to Heath Village in 2013, Lena was a life-long resident of Rockaway Borough where she raised her family and owned a Hershey Ice Cream parlor with her husband. Lena attributes her longevity to “always keep moving and eating a small piece of chocolate and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables every day.” We were thrilled to celebrate the birthday girl this week and are so thankful she is part of our Heath Village family. 🥳

Our annual senior real estate seminar, “Making the Move,” was once again a wonderful success! The event offered valuable insights and support for those preparing for their next chapter, with expert guidance on today’s real estate market, downsizing, selling your home, and navigating the moving process with confidence.

Attendees benefited from both our industry expert panel and resident panel, whose knowledge and personal experiences helped make the transition to a new home feel simple, stress-free, and empowering.

We extend our sincere thanks to all of our speakers, especially Janel Ardia (RE/MAX Heritage Properties), Michael Selvaggi (Lavery, Selvaggi & Cohen), and Larry McEntee (HomeTeam Inspection Service). We also appreciate our fantastic vendors—Fast Moving Company, Caring Transitions, Dazzle by Design Home Staging, and Get Organized by Maria—for being on hand to answer questions and provide support.

A heartfelt thank you as well to our incredible resident panel for sharing their journeys to finding a home at Heath Village.
