This month we're celebrating the great city of Boston, and what better way than with a classic New England meal.

Our Dining Services team put together traditional Boston baked beans and brown bread, a taste of history right at the table. 🍞🫘

Boston baked beans and brown bread are intrinsically linked through the city's Puritan religious ties and its colonial role as a major hub for the molasses trade. The pairing became a traditional Saturday night meal because both items could be prepared in advance to avoid labor on the Sabbath, during which the Puritans were forbidden from cooking.

Food has a wonderful way of bringing stories, memories, and smiles together. Wicked good, we'd say! 🤩

Our Sweet Memories residents had the most wonderful time visiting Running Brook Farm Greenhouse! 🌱🌻

It was a day of taking in the gorgeous sights, breathing in the fresh floral scents, and feeling the warmth of nature all around them.

Nature is incredibly powerful for older adults and especially those living with dementia. The sights, sounds, textures, and smells of the natural world can spark cherished memories, reduce anxiety, and bring a deep sense of calm and joy that words sometimes can't.

Watching the smiles and hearing the stories that bloomed during our visit was absolutely priceless — and a beautiful reminder of why these experiences matter so much. So grateful for outings like this that truly feed the soul! ☀️💚

Sunday Funday at the PEZ Visitor Center in Orange, CT! 🍭😄

Our residents visited one of Connecticut's most beloved landmarks, the world-famous PEZ Factory. With over 4,000 square feet of PEZ history, memorabilia, and fun, it was a day full of smiles and sweet nostalgia.

And the best part? Every single resident went home with their very own PEZ dispenser and candy to fill it! 🍬

Miami, Florida made perfect sense for our March destination — warm weather, bright citrus flavors, and a serious baseball legacy! 🌤️

We even dined at a Miami Citrus Tea Social with lemon squares, cucumber sandwiches, and sweet tea while the conversation turned straight to baseball and World Series memories.
