A client told me something today that hit me really hard. They said I’m the only person who touches them.Not just lately... but at all.

They hadn’t been hugged, held, or physically acknowledged since they were last on my table. A full month of being untouched.

And something in me shattered.

Because I know they’re not alone. I started thinking about how many of my clients come not just for healing...but for contact?
How many people carry their grief, their tension, their tenderness in silence because no one is there to hold them, literally?

This is the kind of thing we don’t talk about enough. How starved we are for safe, consensual, nourishing touch. How the body starts to close in on itselfwhen no one else helps hold it.

We are wired for connection. For co-regulation. For the slow exhale that comes when someone lays a hand on your shoulder and says nothing but means everything.

I’m so deeply honored to be that space for people. To be a place where touch doesn’t harm or demand but offers. Presence. Safety. Belonging. And the permission to soften.

Touch isn’t a luxury.
It’s a language.
It’s a medicine.
