Back pain in early pregnancy surprises a lot of women — especially when there’s barely a bump. 🤰🏻

Here’s what’s really happening:
• Hormones (like relaxin) start loosening ligaments
• Your pelvis begins preparing for baby
• Your posture shifts as your body adapts
• Muscles work differently - and we demand more of them

Pain early doesn’t mean something is wrong — it means your body is changing fast.

We specialize in caring for prenatal patients from start to finish. (OR - the SOS late 3rd tri’s 🤪) 💪🏼

Gripping. Pulling. Forward posture. Repeated tension. There’s a reason jiu jitsu athletes tend to injure their necks, upper back and shoulders. 🔥

Scraping, cupping, and myofascial release help:
• Reduce fascial restriction
• Improve circulation
• Restore range of motion
• Speed up recovery

Elite athletes don’t just train hard — they recover on purpose.

Mechanical pain happens when you initiate movement from a poor position or with poor firing patterns (lack of stability).

We look at how your joints and muscles are working together and use a hands-on approach to get things working again!

"I had pregnancy-related back pain & Dr. Rachel has been so helpful in my recovery. She always takes the time to personalize each session and check in on how I'm feeling & changes between each session. She always has great advice to share and has been so helpful in my recovery journey." - MK

Neck, shoulder, and upper back pain often go together.
So should the treatment.

🔥 Mobilize the joints.
🔥 Release the fascia.
🔥 Restore + re-teach the movement.

Let’s not over- (or under-) complicate things.

Our goals haven’t changed one bit in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ 💫

No shortcuts. No cookie-cutter care. Just thoughtful, evidence-based treatment tailored to the person in front of you.

Because care should be gentle when it needs to be, specific when it matters, and always centered on the patient—not the protocol.

Flexion-distraction can be HUGELY helpful when used to treat joint (facet) pain, stenosis, and muscle strain.

*Particularly in patients who have pre-existing or concurrent disc issues or advanced arthritis where we don’t want to put much rotation through the spine.*

We make sure to identify exactly where your pain is coming from, because although many patients benefit from “traditional” adjustments, some do better with other strategies like you see here!
