You close your laptop… but your body doesn’t shut off.

The longer your nervous system stays in “go mode,” the harder it can be to transition home. Irritability, numbness, zoning out, or feeling disconnected from family aren’t character flaws — they’re signs your system hasn’t had time to reset.

Therapy helps you understand how stress builds up in the body and teaches practical ways to shift out of survival mode before it spills into the rest of your life.

If evenings feel harder than they should, this might help.

Hey man — are conversations in your relationship turning into shutdowns?

Many men approach conflict logically. Fix the issue. Move on. But partners may experience that as emotional distance.

Therapy isn’t about forcing you to “open up” in ways that feel unnatural. It’s about learning how to translate what’s happening internally so conversations don’t escalate or disconnect.

When communication improves, relationships feel less exhausting and more collaborative.

If you’re tired of having the same argument on repeat, support is available.

Jillian is a trauma-informed Licensed Social Worker with a deep background in trauma recovery, addiction treatment, and co-occurring disorders.

She uses modalities like IFS, AEDP, DBT skills, and somatic practices to help clients regulate their nervous systems, build a felt sense of safety, and reconnect with their inner wisdom.

Jillian works best with self-aware, insightful clients — creatives, deep thinkers, perfectionists, and highly sensitive people — who have done the work of understanding their patterns yet still feel stuck or disconnected.

If you’ve journaled, reflected, and analyzed but still can’t shake that inner tension, she can help you:
• Feel safe in your body
• Trust your own experience
• Cultivate compassion for yourself
• Move beyond insight into transformation

Real therapy can be both grounded and deeply liberating — even joyful.

Anxiety in women doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like overcommitting. Overthinking. Over-functioning. Saying yes when you’re exhausted. Smiling when you’re overwhelmed.

Many women we work with are capable, responsible, and dependable — and quietly running on empty.

Counseling isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding why your nervous system feels constantly activated and learning how to create healthier boundaries without guilt. It’s about strengthening self-worth that isn’t dependent on productivity.

If you’ve been carrying more than you let on, you’re not alone.

World Bipolar Day is an opportunity to move beyond stereotypes and talk honestly about what bipolar disorder really is—and what it isn’t. Bipolar disorder doesn’t mean constant crisis, unpredictability, or instability. With proper support, many people live full, steady, meaningful lives.

Therapy plays an important role alongside psychiatric care by helping individuals recognize mood patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, manage stress, and build routines that support long-term stability. It’s not about “fixing” someone—it’s about supporting insight, resilience, and sustainable functioning.

Reducing stigma starts with accurate information and compassionate care. If you or someone you love is navigating bipolar disorder, support can make a real difference.

Productivity advice often skips the most important step for ADHD: emotional regulation. When the nervous system is overwhelmed, no planner or app will fix the problem.

This blog explores evidence-based emotional regulation techniques that actually help adults with ADHD—including DBT-informed skills, mindfulness strategies, and nervous system support. These tools help slow reactions, reduce emotional intensity, and create space for intentional responses.

Therapy provides structure, accountability, and individualized support so these strategies become usable in real life—not just good ideas.

Procrastination with ADHD isn’t about laziness—it’s often a stress response. When tasks feel overwhelming, unclear, or emotionally loaded, avoidance becomes the nervous system’s way of coping.

This blog breaks down the ADHD–procrastination cycle and explains how therapy helps interrupt it. By addressing emotional regulation, perfectionism, and task initiation—not just time management—change becomes more achievable.

ACT and executive function coaching focus on values-based action instead of shame-driven productivity. That means progress without burnout.

Hey man — are communication differences quietly damaging your relationship?

You might approach conflict logically. Solve the issue. Fix the problem. Move on.

But your partner may experience that as distance, shutdown, or not being heard.

That doesn’t mean you don’t care. It often means you’ve learned to process stress internally — and no one ever taught you how to translate that internal experience into something your partner can understand.

Men’s therapy isn’t about overanalyzing your feelings or turning you into someone you’re not. It’s about clarity, regulation, and learning how to stay steady during hard conversations. When you can slow your nervous system down and communicate what’s actually happening underneath, conflict becomes more manageable — and connection improves.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Therapy for Men. By a Man Who Gets It.

Ben Mosher, MA, LPC, LMHC, NBCC (he/him), provides grounded, practical therapy for men navigating burnout, pressure, and the quiet weight of responsibility. Based in our Medford office (with telehealth available across NJ), Ben works with adolescents, young adults, and adults—though many of the men he supports come in feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure of their next move.

Ben specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a strong background in executive function coaching. That means sessions aren’t just about talking—they’re about building focus, improving follow-through, regulating emotions, and taking meaningful, values-driven action.

He frequently works with men facing depression, grief and loss, PTSD, relational stress, and career burnout. His style is warm, steady, and collaborative—but also direct and skills-based. Clients leave with tools they can actually use.

If you’re ready to move from survival mode to purposeful action, support is here.

Living with ADHD often means working twice as hard just to keep up. For young professionals especially, expectations around productivity, focus, and organization can create chronic stress and self-criticism.

This blog shares practical, realistic coping strategies that work with an ADHD brain—not against it. These tools focus on reducing overwhelm, improving follow-through, and building systems that support energy and attention instead of draining them.

Therapy can help tailor these strategies to your life, clarify what’s getting in the way, and break cycles of burnout. You don’t need perfect routines—you need ones that are sustainable.
