Richard, voted Volunteer of the Quarter (Q4 2025), is one of those people you can always count on. As one member of our barn community shared, “When I need help, I can go to him and he will help with whatever I need.”

That spirit of showing up, pitching in, and being there for others is exactly what makes our community so special.

Richard also serves our broader community as a firefighter with the Hagerstown Fire Department, and he’s also a participant in our Stars, Stripes & Heroes program supporting veterans and first responders. Last year, Richard even joined our panel to help select our 2025 Advocate of the Year, just another example of how invested he is in lifting others up.
