At the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM), every student begins a new chapter—one filled with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others.

The Chapters of Care are symbolic books that will be displayed in Bowman Hall and personalized with the name of your choice. This is your opportunity to honor a student, faculty member or loved one with a personalized book. You can also include a short personal message that will be shared with the honoree and placed inside the book’s cover with the name printed on the book’s spine.

By sponsoring a book, you are helping to advance MSOM’s mission to prepare future generations of physicians who are professionally accomplished, socially responsible, and community-oriented. Meritus is proud of our longstanding partnership with the Valley Art Association, which has supported the Meritus Auxiliary and our hospital for many years.

Through our Art in the Hallway collaboration, 25% of the proceeds from every piece sold directly benefits student scholarships in our community and helps provide essential supplies for the hospital, its patients and visitors.

This partnership creates meaningful impact on multiple levels.

Our staff and visitors enjoy the opportunity to experience new artwork each month, enriching the hospital environment. At the same time, local artists are given valuable exposure and a welcoming space to share their work.

We are delighted in the submissions we received for the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine’s Art Contest as well, with so many terrific pieces sent it. We are looking forward to opening this contest up again in the future to meet some more incredible local artists.

What began as Meritus Mobile Health during COVID-19—bringing vaccines directly to underserved neighborhoods—has grown into a full mobile primary care clinic serving Washington County.

Today, our grant-funded mobile clinic delivers testing, screenings, acute care visits, and in-home follow-up after discharge from Meritus Medical Center, with a team focused on whole-person care and addressing social determinants of health.
