Tomorrow afternoon, we're in for a treat! Mack Berry will be playing for residents and guests and we'll have room for folks to gather together. You're in for a treat! This engaging, fun, and energetic local talent is a start on the rise and we can't be more thankful that he's taking time out of his day to spend with us December 16th at 1:30pm!

Our teams got into the holiday spirit today at the Valley Mall volunteering for United Way of Washington County, Maryland! We wrapped, we laughed, and we bonded with our friends from our sister facility Fahrney Keedy Home & Village! 🎁

Honor or memorialize a loved one while supporting our Activities Department at the same time! We're decorating a tree in our facility with some beautiful angel ornaments handmade by some of our residents. For just $2 (for a small angel) or $5 (for a larger angel), you can have a loved one's name placed on one and it'll be added to our Angel Tree! Proceeds benefit our hard-working Activities Department!

Therapy animals truly do come in all shapes and sizes! While Apollo, this adorable baby cow, may not have the experience that a true companion animal might, she had no trouble bringing many smiles to our residents' faces. A very special thank you to our very own Director of Nursing Angie Davis, who owns adorable Apollo! Having staff members with the ability to create such unique experiences for our residents is such a gift!

Yesterday, during our holiday-themed Fahrney Keedy Home & Village and Coffman Nursing Home Annual Board of Directors Meeting, we honored our three outgoing board members. While they may be stepping off of our board, the impact they've each made upon our communities will last a lifetime!

Charles "Charlie" Angle has served on our Board as well as volunteered for so many years. We have no doubt that he'll remain connected to us as much as he can be over the years to come. His recent terms, ranging from 2016-2025 have proven to be some pivotal years for our growth and the future of Fahrney Keedy!

Mary Ellis Bowman's history with Fahrney Keedy dates back to when she was a nursing aide at just 15 years old! She credits us with instilling a career-spanning love for nursing and philanthropy. No stranger to acts of service in the Washington County community (and beyond), it has been our honor to have her on our board for the past six years!

Sue Graff (pictured here in November 2024) has always been a driving force - with a passion for educating the nurses of tomorrow, her work with nonprofits like Brooke Lane and the Hagerstown YMCA made her such an important presence on Coffman Nursing Home's board. She was imperative as their board joined forces with Fahrney Keedy's after our organizations merged! While Sue couldn't join us yesterday, we do have a nice "thank you!" gift we'll be delivering to her very soon!

A very special thanks to Board Members of yesterday and today! You are helping to enrich the lives of seniors at both of our locations. Your selfless work and guidance are greatly appreciated!
