School was back in session today and our Judy Center families were happy about it—because that meant we could kick off the afternoon with an amazing family engagement event at 4 Star Athletic Complex in Williamsport! 🎉
Our little ones had the BEST time tumbling, jumping, and bouncing on the trampoline with Ms. Donna and Ms. Stephanie. So many smiles, giggles, and happy energy all around—we loved every minute! 🤸‍♀️💙

If you or someone you know would like a box, stop by 128 N Prospect St. and pick some up! The gate will open tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.

‼ ALL OF THE BOXES HAVE BEEN HANDED OUT‼
Due to the large number of early arrivals and resulting traffic congestion on surrounding streets, we decided to open the gates earlier and distribute the boxes. We are grateful to have helped as many as we could.

EDIT: We wanted to clarify a few questions some may have! The boxes are first come first serve basis. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to do deliveries, but someone else can pick up on your behalf. Unfortunately you cannot go through the boxes, whatever you are unable to eat you can pass along to another friend. The area will be open until 3:00 or until we run out.

Due to the snow, a HelloFresh delivery truck wasn’t able to complete its route. Instead of letting the food go to waste, they generously donated all 22 pallets, and we’re excited to share it with our community! 🥕🥦

If you or someone you know would like a box, stop by 128 N Prospect St. and pick some up! The gate will open tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.

We hope everyone can bundle up and enjoy a little snow play. ⛄️

We hope everyone can bundle up and enjoy a little snow play. ⛄️

Playing in the snow isn’t just fun—it’s a powerful, whole-child developmental experience!
❄️⛄ Here are some of the key benefits:
❄️ Gross Motor Development
Walking, running, climbing, sledding, and jumping in snow all challenge balance, strength, coordination, and endurance. Snow creates natural resistance, helping build lower-body and core strength.
❄️ Sensory Processing
Snow offers rich sensory input—cold temperature, changing textures (powdery, crunchy, wet), and visual contrast. This helps children learn to tolerate, interpret, and regulate sensory information.
❄️ Body Awareness & Motor Planning
Uneven, slippery surfaces require kids to adjust movements in real time, improving proprioception, spatial awareness, and problem-solving (“How do I move without slipping?”).
❄️ Fine Motor Skills
Scooping, packing snowballs, building snowmen, and using mittens or gloves all strengthen hand muscles and coordination—especially important for developing grasp and dexterity.
❄️ Executive Function & Self-Regulation
Cold weather naturally slows kids down and requires planning (layering clothes, pacing movement, staying safe). Following rules, taking turns, and managing frustration in tricky conditions support emotional regulation.
❄️ Social Skills & Creativity
Snow play invites collaboration, imaginative play, and shared problem-solving—building forts, making tracks, or inventing games together.
❄️ Confidence & Resilience
Navigating a challenging environment helps kids build confidence, adaptability, and persistence when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Snow turns the outdoors into a giant, fabulous development boosting gym—supporting strength, regulation, creativity, and connection all at once 🌨️💙

Always a fun time with Mr. Tony Music! 🎶 Our Judy Center families love coming together for music-filled fun. Music supports early child development by strengthening language skills, coordination, creativity, and social-emotional growth—while giving families joyful ways to learn and play together.

Ensure children stay safe during harsh winter weather conditions by following outdoor winter safety tips like keeping children's hands, neck, and head covered, drinking fluids, and taking breaks.

Learning with all five senses! 👃👀✋👅👂
Our Pre-K friends enjoyed The Gingerbread Book and brought it to life by decorating gingerbread cookies. The children explored their five senses as they decorated gingerbread cookies—smelling the spices, feeling the textures, tasting the treats, and admiring their creations. We were happy our Judy Center could provide the books and supplies that made this hands-on learning experience possible! 🍪✨

Building sweet memories, one gingerbread house at a time. Such a fun week with our Judy Center families!
