Handstand or Full Arm Balance (as they call it in Iyengar yoga) is a pose that you either love or hate😉
✨Most people haven’t done one since they were a kid, so when it comes up in a yoga class I can always feel the mixed emotions in the room.
✨It’s an Incredible pose and when done properly, can build strength and confidence.
✨It’s a pose that I always teach at the wall first and I always help people get onto the wall. Often that’s the hardest part because we are afraid or don’t trust our arms to hold us up.
✨Here’s a video from a few weeks back of me helping a student get up. I love seeing people surprise themselves at how strong they really are!
