In partnership with Hawaiʻi Home Birth Collective (HIHBC) and Ea Hānau, we’re offering financial support for Hawaiʻi residents pursuing midwifery education or training toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).

This program is designed to:
✨ Grow the number of CPMs in Hawaiʻi
✨ Strengthen our maternal health workforce
✨ Support long-term, community-based maternity care

Eligible expenses may include:
• Tuition and program fees
• Books and supplies
• Childcare

✨ Mindful Childbirth with Carol ✨

Carol is a midwife with over 40 years of experience supporting families before, during, and after childbirth. Trained and mentored through the Mindful Birthing and Parenting Foundation, she brings this heart-centered, mindful approach to pregnancy, birth, parenting—and life.

In this series, you’ll learn about:
🤍 Labor and birth
🤍 Breastfeeding/chestfeeding
🤍 Newborns and early parenting
🤍 Preparing for labor while lowering stress

She is offering IN-PERSON classes and ONLINE classes

Classes include guided meditations, mindful movement, loving-kindness practices, and rehearsal of labor—learning how to be with both the contractions and the rest between the waves. Helpful attitudes such as beginner’s mind and kapu aloha will be explored.

These practices are supportive for labor, delivery, parenting, and everyday life.

As we step into the new year, our hearts are full. Through our Farm to Mother Program, Pacific Birth Collective is honored to support women, children, and ‘ohana with weekly nutrition-based food boxes, thoughtfully curated to nourish growing families and support long-term health.

We are so deeply inspired by every family we get to serve, support, and connect with. This work continues to be guided by community, care, and commitment—and we remain steadfast in ensuring food bags reach families every Friday and every Saturday in Hā‘ikū and Lāhainā.

✨ We still have spaces available for this week in both locations—please sign up! ✨

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that many new and meaningful projects are in the works, with announcements coming soon. We’ll also be hosting unique distribution days throughout the month across the island and on Moloka‘i, expanding access and connection even further.

An important update from Pacific Birth Collective 🤍

Our Donation & Distribution Center was created in the wake of the 2023 Maui wildfires to meet urgent needs for pregnant and postpartum families. As emergency funding, donated supplies, and volunteer availability have steadily declined, we need to adjust how we operate.
At this time, we are no longer able to offer regular open hours, on-demand items through our online platform, or delivery.

We will continue distributing essential items when available through outreach events and Farm to Mother distributions, prioritizing income-eligible pregnant and postpartum families.

This is not a closure, but a shift toward a more sustainable model. We are deeply grateful to our community for making this work possible.
