My sweet patients, family and friends….

It’s been a while since I have made a personal connection on my social media, I have been very hard at work pursuing my DAcCHM - my Doctorate in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization Degree, while also pursuing my DCCM which is a post graduate program in Canonical Herbal Medicine which is focused on a very specific lineage of herbal medicine from the Han Dynasty 🌿🫠

Ooof! It’s been a long time coming with my studies and my personal and professional growth and experiences have been nothing but a whirlwind to say the least 😂

With that being said, thank you. You are all such a gift to me, I’m honored to be chosen to help facilitate your journey, hold space, hold your hand, and walk this world with you 💕

WITH THAT BEING SAID, I can’t wait to continue evolving in my community, creating accessibility, and connecting deeper with you all 🤝 ✨

My beautiful friends it’s that time again, to come together, reset and rejuvenate as we begin to enter the Spring season, associated with the element of Wood, this is a time for new beginnings, new blooms, and a renewed sense of energy, purpose, and planning 🌱 🌼 ☀️

It’s been a long winter of rest, and it’s time to begin tending to our garden beds to plant the seeds of intention for the year ahead ✨ 🐉

It’s true though 🤣

The number one thing you can do to keep the immune system strong this season… slow down, and breathe 🧘🏼‍♂️

Elevated cortisol (our stress hormone) is linked to higher inflammation and lower immunity. Yes, proper nutrition, exercise, herbs and supplements we all know are helpful. BUT, those can often be used as band aid responses for not actually taking the time to take care of yourself…

Popping some zinc and elderberry lozenges while running around day to day with high stress and a thousand to do lists (speaking from personal experience 🙃) WILL NOT keep us healthy. Reducing the size of that to do list, scheduling work, play, and errands around self care and slowing down should be the number one priority as we move into what is known as ‘sick season’

If we can live in alignment with nature and slow down with the sun, we can find more balance in everyday life ☯️

“People start to heal the moment they feel heard” - Author, Cheryl Richardson

A major priority in my practice is giving my patients the time and space to tell their story. Though, this medicine can be nearly nonverbal through our ‘pillars of diagnose’ such as pulse, abdominal palpation, tongue, complexion etc., I find that some people’s healing really begins when they can truly feel heard, and seen 👁️

For many people, acupuncture is not the first modality upon a new diagnosis or pattern of disharmony. We are normally one of the last practitioners someone seeks before they lose hope in their journey, often seeing multiple specialists and doctors prior to seeking ‘alternative’ care. And through that journey, many voices are lost, and feel unheard, or hurried, rushed out the door with little to no information but maybe a new prescription 💊

If this is you, you are not alone. We see you, we hear you, we are here for you. There are answers, and there is hope ahead 🙏 💛

With spring comes new growth, creation, and a deeper call to community… 🫶🏼

We have expanded and RELOCATED! We are now practicing in Ketchum to offer a multi faceted healing experience. I have joined forces and partnered with Attune Healing Collective, a center for whole body health, and community healing ✨

As many of you know, one of my biggest missions is serving my local community, and creating a space where anyone and everyone can be seen, heard, and understood in their health journey. By expanding my practice with Attune Healing Collective, I’ll be able to offer my gifts in a space where multiple practitioners can work together to optimize your healing journey, because we all know ‘it takes a village’ 🩵

P U L S E ✨

The pulses of the body share such a beautiful, and nonverbal story about your journey, the state of your health, and the presence and power of your strength and spirit 🪽

In Chinese medicine, we are looking for much more than a pulse rate, but the quality of the pulses, and at multiple different depths of 12 (or more) different yin and yang meridians and organs. We compare how they flow from one channel to the next, from different channel pairings and divisions, and how deep or superficial the qi and blood are moving through the vessels 👁️

Most importantly, we are always coming back to the pulse, after maybe one
needle, mid treatment, and after treatment. This ensures we are promoting the ‘smooth flow of qi and blood’ through the channels, through the vessels. The changes can be so subtle, yet, so deeply powerful 😌
