I didn’t always want to be a physical therapist.

For a long time, I just wanted to be able to get out of bed, let alone get through a workout without back pain.

I know what it’s like to hit rock bottom.

To feel shame.

To feel like a failure.

To look in the mirror and not recognize the person looking back.

I was told “it won’t get better.”

I was given hot packs and cookie-cutter exercises.

I felt numb, frustrated, and forgotten by a system that didn’t understand what I was dealing with or what I wanted to get back to.

Physical therapy saved my life, then it gave me purpose.

I spent five years and over $20k to find the answers the medical professionals I met with didn’t have. I didn’t just study to get a degree—I studied to get my life back.

Now, I run a practice built on the things I needed when I was suffering.

No “standard” protocols.

No settling for “just okay.”

Fully healing doesn’t come from doing it for yourself... it comes when you do it for others.

That’s why I created Vital.

That’s why I do what I do.

This is my origin story.

Everyone loves to blame their pain on the fact that they’re just getting older…

But here’s the truth we all need to hear:

When we were kids?
We were constantly preparing our bodies without even realizing it.

Dealing with an achey/sore shoulder? These 2 exercises might help you reduce your pain in the short term:

1. Supraspinatus Release: Using a lax ball or theracane, put some pressure into the muscle until your pain reaches a 6/10. Hold until the pain reduces to a 3/10, then increase the pain back to 6/10 with more pressure. Repeat for 5-10 reps.

2. Shoulder ER Isometric: 10x5s hold, pushing as hard as you can while keeping it as pain-free as possible.

Forearm feeling locked up when you try to pronate? 🤨 Could be your supinator holding you back.

Here’s a simple technique I like to use:
👉 Pin a lacrosse ball between a squat rack and the outside of your forearm.
👉 Add some pressure and slowly rotate your palm down. Quickly twist it back up.
👉 Rinse & Repeat for 2-5 minutes
👉 Boom—more pronation without fighting your own body.

It’s where I learned to push hard, lift heavy, and fall in love with training.

Stop babying your Achilles tendon! These heavy, slow heel raise exercises aren’t just to build cannonball calves— they’re utilized to rebuild tendon strength.
