Grapefruit essential oil (Citrus X paradisi).

Extraction Method: Oil is Cold-Pressed from the Rind of the plant.

Because Grapefruit oil has many of the same uses as other citrus oils, it can be used in their place when immediate exposure to the sun is unavoidable. This is because Grapefruit oil does not cause as much photosensitivity as the other citrus oils. (Citrus oils can cause sunburn if applied to exposed skin in the summer because they are photosensitive, so best place to apply is feet, spine, or wrists during the sunny months! Try to avoid the back of your neck if you have short hair or will have it pulled up when out in the sun.)
