April is Public Health Month and Halifax County Public Health System is celebrating by hosting a Public Health Fair!

Join us for our Public Health Fair on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 10am-2pm located at W. Pittsylvania Street, Halifax, NC. Come out and learn more about the programs and services we offer. We will have lots of information to share along with giveaways. Gardners Barbeque and Family Flavored Ice trucks will also be on site at the fair!

Safe Sleep/Ready Set Baby Trainings Scheduled for April 2026!

Join us on Monday, April 13th or Wednesday, April 22nd at 10:00 am for an in-person Safe Sleep and Ready, Set Baby Breastfeeding training. Participants will receive a FREE Pack n' Play after completion of the training. Participants are responsible for loading the Pack n' Play into their vehicle.

Halifax County Health Department Car Seat Safety Trainings Scheduled for April 9, 2026!

Come learn about car seat safety, how to properly install a car seat and more! Parents/legal guardians of children up to age 8 or less than 80 pounds are eligible to attend our free class. Car seats will be provided upon successful completion of the 1 hour program. You must be prepared to load the car seats into your vehicle.
