Deciding when it's time for hospice care is one of the most difficult and emotional conversations a family can have. It's often misunderstood as "giving up."

But hospice isn't about giving up. It's about shifting the focus from finding a cure to ensuring the highest possible quality of life. It’s a choice to embrace comfort, dignity, and peace, surrounded by holistic support.

If you're facing this difficult journey, our guide outlines the common signs that it may be time to consider hospice and explains the compassionate, team-based support it provides for both the patient and the family.

Did you know that home healthcare is one of the fastest-growing areas in nursing?
At the end of the last semester for the Victoria College Vocational Nursing program at the Gonzales campus the nursing students were educated on home health care by our Clinical Liaison, Julia, and Nina, one or our nurses who also has a roll at Victoria College as an Adjunct Nursing Instructor. The students were educated on how our patients receive personalized care in the comfort of their own homes while giving our staff the chance to build meaningful one-on-one relationships.
Our home health staff is able to help patients with chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, or mobility challenges, encourage independence,
reduce quality of life, and reduce hospitalizations

✨ The future of nursing isn’t just in hospitals—it’s at home, too!
Good luck to the vocational nursing class of 2025! 👩🏻‍⚕️🧑‍🎓
