This week we honored all the men and women who have served our country. We are blessed to have a large population of veterans as well as spouses and family of veterans. Our dietary department put on a delicious brunch for all our residents in honor of Veterans Day. We want to thank all the men and women who served, are currently serving and the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Well it’s a sad day for Bills fans with the second loss in a row. So… let’s cheer up our day by looking back to last week at our 4th Annual Bills Tailgate outing!!! The residents had a great time enjoying the crowd and the many visitors we had stop by including some of our own staff who stopped to say hi! Our lovely hosts came around with some refreshments for the residents who wanted one. Everyone had a great time and was ready for bed by the time we returned back. We are all looking forward to next year’s tailgate!
PS….We still love our Bills! ❤️🤍💙

We decided squeeze in a little more summer fun to the year! Our activities department took some of our residents to Chestnut Ridge park to enjoy a picnic in the casino and get some great views of our city! The residents had a great time reminiscing… one even said she had her first date with her husband tobogganing back in the day! They also enjoyed people watching…of course, checking out the new stadium, and enjoyed the fresh air.

As we settle into the last official weekend of summer let’s take a look back at our 12th annual car show! We are so grateful that so many people were still able to come out to support our residents as we had to reschedule due to weather! We want to thank all our of the businesses that donated to our show and to all the drivers who took time out of their day to bring there lovely classics to be shown off. We hope to see everyone again next year!

As the best 12 days of summer have come to a close let’s look back at opening day when our activities department took a few residents for a fun filled day.
A couple ladies stayed back to shop as most wanted to take a tram ride around to visit the animals! Of course everyone got their fair food of choice for lunch but were far too busy to stop for pictures of everyone’s meals and enjoyed some music from the band nearby. Everyone had a great day and ready for a nap by the end of it! 🎡🎠🎟️☀️

Today we celebrated and honored one of our lovely ladies turning 100! We had a wonderful little coffee hour, sang happy birthday, and read a little about Marie’s life and what she has accomplished over the years. Her two daughters also were able to attend. Earlier this week Marie was welcomed into the Century Club by Senior Wishes and received a certificate and a few little gifts.
Happy Birthday Marie we hope you had a fabulous day and we are so glad you are apart of The Courtyards family ❤️🎂🥳🎊🎁🎉
