🌟Our Town Foundation is proud to announce Glenn Brobst as the 2025 Volunteer of the Year! Glenn truly embodies the spirit of volunteerism and community pride. Born and raised in Hamburg, Glenn has spent his life giving back to the town he calls home, always quietly and selflessly, never seeking recognition. After retiring at the end of 2024 as a truck driver for East Penn Manufacturing, Glenn wasted no time increasing his already significant volunteer efforts. Some call him the “ultimate family man,” Glenn has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1976, and together they raised three daughters. His commitment to family extends naturally into his commitment to community, where he treats Hamburg like an extension of his own home.

For many years, Glenn has been a dedicated volunteer with the Hamburger Festival, serving not only as a hands-on event helper but also as a member of the planning committee. During festival week, Glenn is there setting up days before the festival, then from sunup to sundown on festival day, and even returning the next day for additional clean up duties. He helps with everything from festival troubleshooting, trash collection, and filling in wherever help is needed most. Glenn does it all without complaint. His calm demeanor and steady presence make him someone everyone wants on their team.

In 2025, Glenn’s impact has only grown. He has played an essential role in maintaining and improving State Street Square, assisting with painting, landscaping, mowing all summer, repairs, cleanup, and countless behind-the-scenes projects, often taking care of tasks before anyone even realizes there’s a problem.

Glenn Brobst’s dedication, humility, and unwavering support make him an invaluable volunteer and a true asset to Hamburg and Our Town Foundation. Glenn is deeply deserving of the 2025 Volunteer of the Year honor.
